We have covered basic knowledge regarding our 7 main chakras, how to heal the root chakra, sacral chakra, solar plexus chakra and heart chakra in the previous posts. In this article, let us talk about the signs of the imbalanced throat chakra and how to help heal and balance the throat chakra.
Balanced and well-aligned chakras will bring about holistic well-being, the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. This will make the biological energy in the body vibrate, circulate, and receive the endless source of cosmic energy. And the nature of bio-energy includes factors such as waves, pulses, colors, matter, and information, etc. Therefore, we are able to assist the healing of the imbalanced chakras by utilizing those factors in harmony with the corresponding chakras.
The Fifth Chakra – Throat Chakra:
The basic function of the fifth chakra is communication. The period of development of this chakra is between the ages of 6.5 and 8.5.
The energy that threatens the fifth chakra is lies. If lying is how we feel about our life experiences, over time, we can’t tell the difference between a lie and the truth. The energy that transforms the act of lying is telling the truth. The throat chakra is the first chakra of spirituality. When we want to grow spiritually, we need to seek the truth. Lying is saying things that are not our true experiences.
People usually lie because they have a lot of fear and guilt inside. Not only do we lie about what we say, but we also lie about what we experience. If you accept the lies, they will become the truth inside of you. Instead, try to listen to your heart, and speak the truth of what you really want to say. Let’s learn to say what we really feel inside.
What can hurt Throat Chakra?
– When you are punished or criticized by telling the truth, especially by your loved ones during childhood, you will be geared towards telling lies.
– If you have grown up in a family that parents are constantly arguing, shouting at each other, you will be too scared to speak up your voice.
– When no one is willing to listen to your true thoughts and feelings, you will learn to stop expressing what’s really going on inside of you.
– You are forced to keep secrets which will place a burden on your throat. If this happens often in your childhood, this will create blockages in your throat chakra.
Signs of Imbalanced Throat Chakra
* Weak or Blocked Throat Chakra:
– Have a small and weak voice, hesitant to talk. Easy to feel embarrassed.

How to Heal and Balance Throat Chakra
What to do:
* Deep meditation. The higher chakra we work with, the more challenging it becomes. Therefore, we need to be able to reach the deep meditative state in order to be able to live without feeling fear, guilt, and shame.
* Yoga: plow pose, fish pose, camel pose, shoulder stand pose. * Drink more pure water throughout the day.
* Try to speak from your heart. Express yourself openly and honestly through talking, writing, singing.
* Keep the precepts of silence as much as possible. We have two ears, but only one mouth. It means we should talk less and listen more. To work with the fifth chakra, practice being silent. The more you remain completely silent, the more balanced you will be with the fifth chakra. Only then, you are able to shut off all external factors, listening to what is really inside. While being silent, connect with your being, your soul, and connect with nature.
* Try to listen carefully and think before responding.
Food: blueberries, blue raspberries, figs, kelp.
Positive Affirmations: speak out loud or in your mind several times every day, or write down on sticker notes and stick them around your home and/or work environment to remind yourself.
* I speak my truth freely and openly.
* My honesty attracts what I deserve.
* I express my creativity with ease and joy.
* I let my voice be heard.
* I do no harm with my words.
Chant: chant HAM to yourself slowly “hhhhhaaaaammmmm” while meditating or doing chores during the day.
Crystals: Blue lace agate, Angelite, aquamarine, turquoise, amazonite, kyanite, blue tigers eye, and blue topaz. Bring them with you, put them next to your bed or hold them in your hands while meditating.
Aroma: Rosemary, lime, sage, Indian Champa, and cedarwood, jasmine, rosemary, sandalwood, calendula, ylang-ylang.
Music:
– Music with wind instruments, bells, sounds of water, bird songs can have a good effect on the throat chakra.
Color: wear blue clothes or accessories, have more blue objects around the house.

Another outstanding article – thank you!
The Throat Chakra, or Fifth Chakra, is the center of communication and self-expression. It is located in the throat area and is associated with the color blue.
This chakra is blocked when we are unable to express ourselves freely or when we feel unheard. We may also have difficulty communicating our feelings or thoughts clearly. This can manifest as problems with our voice, such as hoarseness, or a general sense of not being heard.
Some common obstacles to healing this chakra include fear of speaking up for ourselves, feeling shy or introverted, holding on to grudges or resentment, and speaking without thinking things through first.
The best way to heal the Throat Chakra is by expressing yourself clearly and directly. If you’re having trouble speaking up for yourself with a friend or family member, try writing a letter about how you feel rather than going directly to the person.
Clear communication can help us be heard by those around us and make better connections within our community as well as within ourselves.
Thanks Bob again for your great comment sharing your ideas about healing the throat chakra!
Great post, when you just consider how much water is important, and how many things regular water intake can keep in check. But the most astonishing thing is meditation, especially in these stressful times. Most of the time we don’t need doctors and hospitals, we can do it ourselves. Great tips!
Hi Ivan,
Thanks for your comment! About 70 percent of the human body is made up of water, so no wonder how important it is to our well-being, physically and energetically. And yes, meditation is always the go-to solution for us to step further on our healing journey!
Cheers,
Grace
