There are three levels of Reiki training, 1, 2 and Master Level. My Reiki training follows the system Usui/Holy Fire III which was developed by Senior Reiki Master William Lee Rand. He is the president of ICRT and founder of the Center for Reiki Research.
Some teachers have strict rules about how much time you need to wait between levels. However, for me, it is all about your commitment to practicing Reiki and building a connection with Reiki. Once you’ve done 21 days of self-Reiki after Level 1 you can take Reiki Level 2. And once you’ve finished 20 Reiki healing sessions for others with detailed notes, you are ready to progress to Reiki Master level.
Some people feel the urge to complete all three levels however slow or fast. While others just stay at Reiki Level 1 and are happy with that. So, it all depends on each person. Although Reiki is powerful and benevolent, it is just one of the tools for you on your healing journey. Therefore, use your intuition to guide you through.
Reiki Level 1: Self-Healing, Healing Others In-person, and Energy Basics.
At Reiki Level 1, you will learn all the basics about energy and Reiki. This includes what Reiki is, how it works, how to do Reiki for yourself and others in person. Self-healing is the critical part of this level. Hence, the Reiki Level 1 placement, which attunes you to the frequency that can connect and use Reiki, can lead to an effect similar to detox in your body, physically and sometimes emotionally as well. That is why I recommend my students to do 21 days of self-Reiki to support themselves through the detoxing period.
At this level, we will go through the following:
- – Reiki history, philosophy and ethics
- – The Five Reiki Principles
- – Reiki Level 1 placement
- – Reiki Techniques for self-healing and healing others
- – How to use Reiki in life
- – Basics about Aura and Chakra.
- – Practice self-Reiki.
Reiki Level 2: Emotional and Mental Healing, Working with Others, and Psychic Development.
At Level 2, you will be introduced to three of the Reiki symbols and how to do distance healing. From this level, you may practice sending Reiki to people outside the circle of your family and friends. This means you are able to practice Reiki professionally. Reiki will also benefit people who work hands-on with others. For example, massage therapists, physical therapists, other energy healers, nurses, hairdressers, beauty specialists, and so on.
Level 2 brings you an opportunity for deep emotional healing and an increase in psychic ability. If there are emotions that have been suppressed or denied and stuck within you, they will gently emerge to the surface to be recognized, then healed and cleared after the Reiki Level 2 placement.
At Reiki Level 2, we will cover:
- – Learn Reiki Level 2 symbols, including Power, Emotion and Distance symbols.
- – Reiki Level 2 Placement
- – Higher Reiki Techniques
- – How to send distance Reiki, not only through space but through time as well
- – Learn more about Aura, Chakra and Chakra Healing
- – Practice distance healing.
Reiki Master Level: Deeper Connection with Reiki, Spiritual Healing and Ability to Teach Reiki.
At Reiki Master Level, you will receive the Master placement and Holy Fire III ignitions. This allows you to do all the Reiki placement yourselves and provides you with a really profound spiritual healing. Spiritual healing in the Reiki Master class is an extremely powerful experience for me and for my students as well.
We will also touch on the teaching aspect and how to do Reiki placements for all three levels of Reiki. Teaching Reiki is a wonderful way for you to share the power of Reiki with many more people. From this level, it is highly recommended for you to level up your spiritual practice on a daily basis. This is to help you not lose the momentum and continue to strengthen your spiritual abilities.
At Reiki Master Level, we will cover all of the following:
- – Usui Master and Holy Fire symbols
- – Reiki Master placement and Holy Fire ignitions
- – Reiki Moving and Holy Fire meditations
- – Refine Reiki Techniques
- – Crystal Healing
- – Reiki Healing for Animals
- – Spiritual and Intuition Development
- – Deal with Negative Energy and Attachments
- – How to teach and do Reiki placement
Master – Doest it sound right?
The word “Master” in Reiki Master is just a title. It does not mean once you’ve got the Reiki Master certificate, you have reached the mastery of Reiki healing art. So don’t let it become an obstacle on your way to learning more, and thrive with Reiki. Keep expanding your power and your light! And remember, however you use Reiki for, it all matters. Whether you only use it for yourself and your family and friends, or you are called to work with animals or children, or as a part-time volunteer in hospitals or retirement homes, or focusing on teaching only. Trust your intuition and go with it!
Before ending this post, I would like to share with you an interesting and meaningful fact that some Reiki practitioners might not be aware of, or at least for beginners. That is whenever we send Reiki to others, the Reiki energy will flow into and fill ourselves first before sending it out through our hands. Because we are simply the channelers, the water pipe for the energy to flow through us and to the recipients. This is why many Reiki healers feel more energized and calmer after doing a Reiki session.
So Reiki is good for both the healers and the clients! Like Lisa Campion always said “The world needs all the healers it can get”, it only does good to have more Reiki practitioners out there spreading Reiki love around the world!
